We can follow your itinerary or you can follow one of ours. Tours can be as long or short as you like.

To introduce ourselves

We are Donald and Mary McIntosh, the owner-operators of Roving Adventures. Donald is a third generation New Zealander while Mary is a more recent British import. We farmed for twenty years in North Canterbury (Mary’s specialty was fresh scones for morning tea), before deciding to sell up to allow Donald to indulge his passion for four-wheel driving. He is a fully qualified trainer and registered assessor for drivers of off-road vehicles. We spend our holidays exploring out of the way places by 4WD vehicle both in New Zealand and overseas. Our most recent adventures have been in countries as far apart as Australia and Iceland.

Donald’s four wheel drive experience, teamed with our top quality vehicle, will safely take you into the rugged heart of the South Island of New Zealand. You will be able to sit back, relax and enjoy a unique experience.
